SUN NGUYEN

Sun Nguyen, FNP, DCNP is a board certified Dermatology Nurse Practitioner who has dedicated her career to treating patients of all ages for various medical and cosmetic skin concerns. Facial aesthetics rejuvenation, hair loss, acne, rosacea, eczema, hyperpigmentation, autoimmune conditions, rashes, skin cancers like basal, squamous and melanoma - Sun has experience in a wide range of patient concerns.

 

With 12+ years of experience in the medical field, beginning her nursing career as a Surgical Trauma ICU nurse at a level one trauma center in Philadelphia after earning her Bachelor in Nursing degree in 2008 from Drexel University. As an RN, Sun played an active role as a staff nurse, charge nurse, and a member of the education, informatics, skin and unit committees. She became a nationally certified critical care nurse prior to her enrollment at La Salle University, where she earned her Masters of Science degree with a focus in Family Health. During her dermatology rotation in NP school, Sun confirmed her passion and enthusiasm for all things dermatology related.

 

Sun provides individualized and holistic care, to guide one towards healthy skin and the confidence to look his or her best at any age or stage in life. Sun’s wish is to create natural, youthful and subtle-looking results that complement each individual. She often combines aesthetic treatment with lifestyle recommendations involving nutrition and supplements. This combination approach provides longer lasting results while restoring beauty, self-confidence and quality of life.

 

The most rewarding part of her career is the privilege to gain a glimpse into the stories, skin, and markings that make up her patients - the stories that accompany them are what leads to intimate connections with her patients and fuel Sun’s drive for knowledge and solutions that expand beyond skin deep.

 

Outside of work, you can find Sun in her happy place when she is doing yoga, reading in her comfy lounger, traveling and when she is lathering on her sunscreen daily.
